print vs online
Self observation:

I will never be an online reader. My sight goes blurry when there is a need to read online text. If it is really important, I print that selection. When I online read, I tend to skim the text and do a selective remembering. Most of the time I unintentionally skip chunks of information.

From english.ttu.edu:

"Structure of hypertext encourages a rapid movement from one item to item that could discourage reflective engagement with the medium."

Agreed. When I was reading that passage, I had to write it down on my notebook first to be able to understand it fully. Print is so much better than online.

Are you a print reader or an online reader?

I'm always a fan of print reading. Back when I was still working for a design/ad company I was discouraged to write long texts online. Besides, reading in a comfortable spot and holding a book is way better than just staring at the screen and be distracted by a hundred and one online ads.
