Title: Pieces Characters: Clark, Chloe, Pete (yes, this was our idea with my friend cookiehalmoni of an episode for Pete's return), slight Lana appearance, Martha Kent, Mr. Bill Ross and Lex. Fandoms: Smallville Rating: PG (action sequences) Disclaimer: I don't own Smallville. Season: Five Author's Notes: The story takes place months after the events in the episode Reckoning and several weeks before Vengeance. This was a contest entry and cookiehalmoni and I decided to write an episode where Pete came back. Summary: Clark and Pete's brief reunion ends when their intrepid best fiend, Chloe arrives from Metropolis with clues to a new cave in Smallville under Lex's scrutiny. The startling discovery in the cave forces another internal battle for Clark who nearly loses to Kal-El, if not fro Martha's intervention. Will Lex witness Clark's duality? Can Martha succeed in helping her son in time? Episode references: Rush, Sacred, and Calling. Format: Script type

Spotlight On: Glee By Rachel Bertsche
Musical TV series don't have a great track record (see: Viva Laughlin and Eli Stone). But Glee, Fox's new dramedy about a high school glee club and the cheerleading coach determined to take them down, is laughing in the face of the industry's low expectations. The cast's recordings of songs like Queen's "Somebody to Love" and an "It's My Life/Confessions Part II" medley (Bon Jovi and Usher, respectively, see below) shot up the iTunes top 10. The series got the summer's biggest buzz and was one of the first new shows of the season to get a full season pickup.
